chainsawgood asked: It was losing them money. They were spending more on producing the figures than they were getting from sales. "If this is what you take to be reason why bringing back something on TV Tropes is better than bringing back a bunch of plastic toys, I’m not sure what to say exactly." With TV Tropes it's speaking to some publicly active moderators and convincing them to do something which would take them about five minutes, whilst bringing back BIONICLE would be a huge business decision for LEGO.
Then it would be easier, doesn’t mean it is a better cause. Worthier, maybe. I fail to see why you would compare a 5 minute cause to a business decision.
Again, both causes aren’t as worthy or good as other more important causes (charity, etc.) because in the end, you’re just rooting for more internets or plastic toys. I only mentioned that the latter is slightly favorable because it brings in money from everyone willing to buy Lego (Bionicle label or not) figures, and creates more jobs.
If they were losing money, it was due to Bionicle’s complexity, because they ended up making 2-3 more action figure lines afterwards, but with a condensed story….

Anonymous asked: "One brings in income to a company[...]" Did you stop to consider that the reason that LEGO stopped producing Bionicle was that it wasn't bringing them income any more?
It was bringing income. It just wasn’t meeting a desired amount of sales.
No money=/=less money. Regardless of that, my point still stands. If this is what you take to be reason why bringing back something on TV Tropes is better than bringing back a bunch of plastic toys, I’m not sure what to say exactly.
Plus, many people have interest in constructible action figures, so them making a new line or bringing back an old line doesn’t hinder those sales that much in theory.
Please note that this is my opinion, and it does not reflect the opinion’s of the rest of BZPReview’s admins.

Anonymous asked: To be honest, I think the "Bring Back the Real Life Section in the High Octane Nightmare Fuel page on TV Tropes" is a much worthier cause than "Bring Back Bionicle". What about you?
I can’t speak for all of the admins, but I myself think that both causes are ok, just not as worthy as ACTUAL causes.
Bionicle coming back would be great, the real life section in the tropes would be cool too. Comparing them? One brings in income to a company, which means more money for some of the people who have jobs at Lego, the other is just moar internets, unless TV Tropes makes money out of that.
But like I said, Actual causes are kind of better than those two.
Like insulting Holocaust deniers. Damn, that’s a fun cause.
